Both teams were strong on the mound Tuesday, but Lowell Varsity Red Arrows defeated Calvin Christian Squires Varsity 2-1.
Lowell pitchers allowed just four hits to Calvin Christian Squires Varsity. Ethan Hall was the winning pitcher for Lowell. The righty went five and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out five. Kyler Spike threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Spike recorded the last four outs to earn the save.
Varsity Red Arrows racked up five hits. Xander Reisbig and Zach Hayes all had multiple hits. Hayes and Reisbig each collected two hits to lead Red Arrows.
