Lowell Red Arrows JV nabbed the lead late in the game in a 7-4 victory over Hopkins on Friday. The game was tied at four with Lowell Red Arrows JV batting in the top of the seventh when Russell induced Jillian Weston to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
In the top of the fifth inning, Lowell Red Arrows JV tied things up at four when Sydney Zandstratripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Tremendous defensive effort from Lani Fetterhoff who had back-to-back putouts in the bottom of the 7th inning to cap the win for the Red Arrows.
Olivia Outman was the winning pitcher for Lowell Red Arrows JV. She went seven innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out eight and walking zero.
